Description
ISOFLEX-PU 500 is a one-component, polyurethane liquid waterproofing membrane designed for flat roofs. It offers excellent mechanical, chemical, thermal, UV, and weather resistance due to its elastomeric, hydrophobic polyurethane resins. It forms a continuous, elastic, waterproof, and vapor-permeable layer without seams or joints, bonding well to various substrates including concrete, wood, and most waterproofing layers. It is suitable for green roofs and available in multiple colors. For dark colors, a TOPCOAT-PU 720 layer is recommended.
Certifications
Certified according to EN 1504-2 as a coating for surface protection of concrete and CE marked. It meets ETAG-005 requirements with a 25-year expected working life under severe conditions. It is also certified as root-resistant according to UNE CEN/TS 14416 EX: 2014.
Fields of Application
Ideal for waterproofing flat roofs, balconies, under tile layers, under thermal insulation boards, and in construction works like highways and tunnels. It can also be used on foundations, gypsum and cement boards, old bituminous or EPDM membranes, polyurethane foam, and metal surfaces.

Application Instructions
  1. Substrate Preparation: Ensure the substrate is dry, clean, and free of contaminants. Use appropriate primers based on substrate type and moisture content.
  2. Application: Stir ISOFLEX-PU 500 slightly before use. Apply by brush or roller in two layers, with specific instructions for total surface waterproofing, local crack waterproofing, and waterproofing under tiles.
Packaging and Storage
Available in 1 kg, 6 kg, and 25 kg metal containers. Store in original, unopened packaging at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C for up to 12 months.
Remarks
Not suitable for chemically treated pool water. Application temperature should be between +8°C and +35°C. Consumption should not exceed 750 g/m² per layer.
VOC Content
Complies with Directive 2004/42/CE, containing a maximum of 500 g/l VOC.

In addition, the product has been checked according to the requirements of ETAG-005 and is classified as: W3, S, TL4-TH4, P4 special, which means that its expected working life is 25 years under the worst control conditions, as these are defined by the standard concerning the user loads (P4), the climatic zone (S) and the resistance to maximum and minimum operating temperatures (TL4-TH4). 1.1 Concrete substrates Any existing cavities in concrete should be filled with the appropriate repairing materials in advance. Severe cracks in the substrate must be primed locally and after 2-3 hours (depending on the weather conditions) must be sealed with the polyurethane sealants FLEX PU-30 S or FLEX PU-50 S. Concrete and other porous surfaces with moisture content < 4% should be treated with the special primer PRIMER-PU 100, at a consumption of approx. 200 g/m1 2. a) Total waterproofing of the surface ISOFLEX-PU 500 is applied by brush or roller in 2 layers. The first layer is applied 2-3 hours after priming and while PRIMER-PU 100 is still tacky. The second layer should be applied crosswise after 8-24 hours, depending on the weather conditions. Consumption: approx. 1.0-1.5 kg/m2, depending on the substrate. In case of dense, multiple cracks all over the surface, it is strongly recommended to fully reinforce ISOFLEX-PU 500 membrane with 100 cm wide strips of polyester fleece (60 g/m2).
