Description
ISOFLEX-PU 500 DTL is a one-component, fiber-reinforced, thixotropic polyurethane liquid waterproofing membrane designed for roof details and connections. It forms a continuous, elastic, waterproof, and vapor-permeable layer without seams or joints. It adheres well to various substrates, including concrete, wood, metal, and bituminous membranes, and can be applied to irregular surfaces.

  • Liquid Form: Polyurethane prepolymer, white, density of 1.40 kg/l.
  • Cured Membrane: Elongation at break > 100%, tensile strength 2.8 N/mm², hardness SHORE A 78 ± 2, capillary absorption 0.01 kg/m²·h0.5, water vapor permeability Sd = 0.82 m, bond strength to concrete > 2 N/mm², artificial weathering pass, reaction to fire Euroclass F, service temperature from -40°C to +90°C.

Directions for Use
  1. Substrate Preparation: Ensure the substrate is dry and free of grease, loose particles, and dust. Concrete surfaces should be repaired and primed with PRIMER-PU 100 or PRIMER-PU 140 depending on moisture content. Smooth surfaces should be primed with EPOXYPRIMER 500, and metal surfaces with EPOXYCOAT-AC.
  2. Application: Stir ISOFLEX-PU 500 DTL slightly before use. Apply by brush in two layers, with the first layer applied 2-3 hours after priming and the second layer 16-36 hours later. Total consumption is approximately 1.2-1.5 kg/m².

Packaging and Storage
Available in 1 kg and 5 kg tin containers. Store in original, unopened packaging in cool, dry conditions for up to 12 months. Recommended storage temperature is between +5°C and +35°C.

Remarks
Not suitable for chemically treated water in swimming pools. Application temperature should be between +8°C and +35°C. Unsealed containers must be used immediately.

ISOFLEX PU 500 DTL is based on elastomeric, hydrophobic polyurethane resins of excellent mechanical, chemical, thermal and weather resistance. Substrate preparation The substrate must be dry (moisture content < 4%) and free of grease, loose particles, dust, etc. 1.1 Concrete surfaces Any existing cavities in concrete should be repaired in advance. Severe cracks on the substrate must be locally primed and after 2-3 hours (depending on the weather conditions) must be sealed with the polyurethane sealants FLEX-PU 30 S or FLEX-PU 50 S.

Concrete and other porous surfaces with moisture content < 4%, should be treated with the primer PRIMER-PU 100, at a consumption of approx. 200 g/m2. Surfaces with moisture content > 4% should be primed with the special two-component polyurethane primer PRIMER-PU 140, at a consumption of 100-200 g/m2. 1.2 Smooth - Non-absorbent surfaces Smooth and non-absorbent surfaces, as well as surfaces with bituminous membranes or other old waterproofing layers, must be primed with the water-based epoxy primer EPOXYPRIMER 500, thinned with water up to 30% by weight.
