Technical Data Sheet Edition: 2024.1 Date: 26/03/2024 Page 1 of 5 Viroc A2 - Cement-bonded Particleboard Viroc A2 is a composite panel with non-combustible characteristics, consisting of wood particles surrounded by a cement matrix, known as Cement Bonded Particle Board (CBPB). The flexibility of wood combined with the strength and durability of cement allows the panel to be used in a wide range of applications both indoors and outdoors. The Viroc A2 panel has CE Marking, complying with the specifications of EN 634 and EN 13986 standards. The natural colours of the raw materials and their chemical interactions give the Viroc A2 panel a heterogeneous appearance, with different shades randomly dispersed across its surface. Differences in tone can be observed on the same face, between faces of the same panel or between different productions. When exposed to the outdoor environment, the panels undergo a slight change in colour, becoming lighter. This variation in tone depends on the colour of the panel and is a natural characteristic. Over time, two panels with different tones tend to approach the same colour after sun exposure. The Viroc A2 panel is supplied unfinished. The surfaces may have some irregularities, such as small encrustations, dirt, stains, scratches, salts (efflorescence) and small wood chips. At the customer's request, polishing/cleaning can be carried out at the factory, leaving the surface free of loose elements of salt, dust, scratches, and dirt. The Viroc A2 panel has two distinct sides, one smoother, which is intended to be visible, and the other rougher. When leaving the factory, the smoothest side faces upwards when the panels are stacked in the form of a pallet. The back side does not have selection criteria and may have dirt, scratches, and holes. The Viroc A2 Panel can be used indoors and outdoors, facades, partition walls, wall cladding, indoor floors, indoor and outdoor false ceilings, interior decoration, indoor and outdoor furniture, among others. Colour: Gray; Thickness: 12 and 19 mm Other colours and thicknesses upon request. Viroc S.A. holds Chain of Custody Certification, in accordance with applicable regulatory references. Upon request, the Viroc panel can be supplied with one of the FSC® C173361 or PEFC/13-31-251 certifications. 2600 x 1250 mm (102.4 x 49.2”), 3000 x 1250 mm (118.1 x 49.2”) Other dimensions upon request. The surfaces have some irregularities and imperfections, such as small encrustations, stains, scratches, small wood shavings and salts resulting from chemical reactions. Whenever the panel is to be applied visually, even if the application of a varnish finish is not foreseen, the surface that will be visible must be cleaned/polished, with a cleaning disc, to remove dust, scratches, dirt and salts. To ensure adequate installation conditions, the panel must adapt to the temperature and humidity conditions of the installation location. To do this, the straps must be cut, and the protective plastic removed from the pallets. Before application, the panels must remain at rest for at least 72 hours to acclimatize to the installation location. During acclimatization, the panels on top of the pallets, whose straps have already been removed, may warp, forming an upward-facing...
