The shape also keeps water spray inside the bowl and avoids splashing over the bowl. It is self-cleaning and self-draining. The 2,5 mm thick pedestal of the SANISPRAY washfountain is constructed of a one piece tapered roll formed steel cone which is attached to a pressformed stainless steel scuff base anchored to the floor. The service opening in the pedestal is closed by a vandal resistant panel. Three rubber joints are fitted between floor scuff base - pedestal and bowl. The pedestal is constructed of cold laminated 2,5 mm thick steel, treated against corrosion by zinc phosphate and powder coating. The anchoring bolts are made of zinc coated steel. INTERSAN'S detection system is passive: no infrared or ultrasonic signals are emitted. The passive detection system's heat sensors notify the microprocessor of the presence of human hands intersecting the broad detection area. The detection field adjusts itself to the contours of the plumbing fixture. Optical lenses delineate the expanse of the passive detection field in terms of width, length and height. As the passive detection system functions on human warmth, it is unaffected by skin color, darkness, sunlight, noise, foreign objects or passers by. The sensor operated, no touch controls are easily activated and accessible to wheelchair users. The SANISPRAY'S combination of parabolic bowl and conical pedestal provide the required clearance to allow easy accessibility all around the washfountain. The stainless steel riser column serves the purpose both of a housing for the supply pipes and the vent pipe, and a support for the circular sprayring and soap dispenser. The dome grated column base provides a central 360° drain and has an internal easy to clean grid. The sprayring openings are 30° inclined to make sure the water does not splash over the bowl. The internal plumbing system includes a 4-way trap with flexible drain connector, 2 stop ball valves, 2 Y-type strainers, 2 flexible supply tubes, thermostatic mixing valve, a solenoid valve and a braided stainless steel supply line to the sprayring. The 1 1/2" vent pipe is made of 3 mm thick stainless steel. This pre-installed vent pipe is also the central tie part for the rigid assembly of the SANISPRAY, thus wall braces are unnecessary. A pushbutton controlled liquid soap dispenser for soap bags may be furnished. The container can be easily filled and cleaned through the large vandal resistant locking cover. The soap container and cover are made of AISI 304 stainless steel.
