Rainscreen System Description: The rainscreen system functions by exchanging energy between the external
cladding surface and the air chamber. Solar radiation increases the façade temperature, which heats the air chamber, creating a convection current that draws in cooler outside air, maintaining the system's efficiency.
Components:- Inner Skin: Supports wind loads transferred by the façade.
- Insulation: Continuous, water-repellent, fire-resistant, breathable, and sound-absorbent.
- Framework: Metallic frames for fixing external cladding, creating cavities for insulation and air gaps.
- Air Chamber: Prevents water from reaching insulation.
- Outer Skin: Metallic layer for aesthetics and protection.
Advantages: The system offers energy savings and reduced environmental impact, reduces self-weight and execution time, prevents humidity, and allows easy replacement or inspection. It also avoids thermal bridging and renews aging façades.
Products:- INCOBends®: Customizable linear panels for diverse façade compositions.
- INCOScales®: Creates textured façade surfaces with geometric patterns.
- INCOModular®: Cassette system for a structured façade appearance.
Installation Procedures:- INCOBends®: Assemble by introducing the panel rib under the installed panel's rib, securing with screws.
- INCOScales®: Assemble by locking the scale flange into clips, securing with screws.
- INCOModular®: Assemble by clipping the "C" shaped rib, securing with screws.
Projects: Examples include installations along Highway V-31 in Valencia and Alicante.
