POLY VA can be used as a TYPE D coating to encapsulate cement-asbestos surfaces, in order to prevent fibers dispersion during removal or disposal works (as provided for by Ministerial Decree dated 20 August 1999 reported in the 22/10/1999 issue of the Official Gazette). Using POLY VA as a TYPE D coating to be applied on cement-asbestos surfaces, the fixative has to be stained with 1 t 2% of IMPACOLOR UNI code 6003 in order to ensure, once applied, a layer of colour contrasting with the substrate. POLY VA so coloured must be thinned 1:3 with water and directly applied avoiding the cleaning of the surface. - brush - roller - spray gun (when POLY VA is used as a TYPE D covering, apply only by the spray equipment).
