General Information:
IKO ArmourGard Ice and Water Protector is a waterproofing product used under shingled roofs to prevent water penetration from ice dams and wind-driven rain. It is a modified bitumen roll roofing product with a self-adhesive backing and a non-slip sanded surface for safety.

Installation Instructions:
  1. Ensure the roof deck is clean, smooth, dry, and free of sharp protrusions.
  2. Prime metal and masonry surfaces.
  3. Cut the membrane into 3 m to 4.5 m lengths.
  4. Unroll and align with the lower edge of the roof, tack top selvage edge with temporary fasteners.
  5. Remove the lower release film and press the membrane firmly in place.
  6. Remove temporary fasteners, fold down the top half, remove release film, and press firmly in place.
  7. Ensure end laps are at least 15 cm and rolled for adhesion, offset from previous course laps.
  8. Cover entire low sloped roof areas with ArmourGard, ensuring proper ventilation to avoid condensation.
