The following information is to assist the plumbing contractor in preparation for the delivery and installation of the Hydrorain 7. All plumbing work performed must be in accordance with local and national codes. An installation and user guide is supplied with the equipment. GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Hydrorain 7 is a wall mounted vichy shower that consists of a control cabinet containing thermostatic water temperature mixing valve, flow controls, hand shower and a stainless steel swing-away rainbar with face-shield. The Hydrorain 7 rainbar is designed to be positioned over the Hydrowet treatment table or similar. REQUIREMENTS Hot and Cold Water Supply – ”(19mm) Operating Pressure Water Consumption " (19mm) hot and cold supply lines should exit the wall as shown in the plan provided. The control cabinet is to be fixed to the wall at dimensions shown on the plan provided (cabinet weight – 33lbs (15kg)). The cabinet sits over the incoming water lines. The hot and cold water supply lines are to be connected to the " (19mm) male unions located inside the wall mounted control cabinet. The swing-away rainbar is to be fixed to the wall at dimensions shown on the plan provided (rainbar weight – 33lbs (15kg)). The control cabinet connects to the rainbar via the flexible ” (19mm) hose supplied. The hose is externally connected. Ensure that water lines are purged of sand and grit etc… prior to final connection to the unit. It is recommended that " (19mm) true-flow in-line serviceable water strainers be fitted. The wet treatment table used under the Hydrorain 7 should have a 2" (50mm) drain. If the wet treatment table used is height adjustable then a telescopic or flexible drain line is required. Refer to the Hydrowet treatment table specifications and guidelines for further details. An additional 2" (50mm) floor drain is required in the room that the Hydrorain 7 is installed to cater for drainage of the floor and in the event that future flooding occurs – The full flow of showers will be directed onto the floor regularly throughout normal operation. An operating water pressure between 43.5 PSI and 145 PSI max is allowed. For optimum shower performance a pressure of approximately 60-70 PSI is recommended. The Hydrorain 7 has a shower system that utilises approximately 200 gallons (800 litres) of water per 20 minute treatment. Assume 100 gallons (400 litres) of this to be Hot water. Based upon the expected number of treatments daily an appropriate hot water supply needs to be installed. NOTE: Specific treatments may be designed to reduce water consumption. Manufacturer reserves the right to amend specification
