Graphical Data
Graphs are referenced for determining profile spans and buckling loads based on wind pressure and hanger configurations.
Specifications and Procedures
The document provides detailed specifications for the installation of HunterDouglas® Ceilings, focusing on the relationship between wind load and panel span. It includes formulas for calculating the load per lineal meter carrier based on the number of carriers used.
Design Charts and Graphs
Several design charts illustrate the maximum spans for different panel types under various wind load conditions, showing the characteristic wind load in N/m² against the span in meters.
Recommendations and Standards
The document emphasizes the importance of considering local country’s Standard Codes of Building Practice. It recommends using join profiles to maintain a maximum admissible panel span of 800 mm, regardless of wind load.
Key Parameters and Calculations
- Maximum hanger length at 1,000 N pressure load is 1,050 mm.
- Panel span at 1,000 N/m² should be 800 mm for 30BD and 30BXD panels with join profiles.
Limitations and Best Practices
The document outlines limitations on panel spans and carrier spans, advising adherence to specified maximums to ensure structural integrity.
Specifications
Luxalon® metal suspended ceilings are classified as non-combustible according to EN 13501-1. The coil-coating process provides a superb finish with excellent performance characteristics.
Procedures
To determine the carrier span, the load per lineal meter carrier is calculated using specific formulas based on the number of carriers and wind load.
Norms and Standards
Hunter Douglas complies with the tolerance criteria specified in the TAIM Quality standards for metal.
Recommendations
For exterior use, the Luxacote® topcoat provides excellent resistance to scratches and minor damage.
Design Charts
The document includes various design charts for different panel types showing the relationship between wind load and panel span.
