And this is how it works: The woven sheets have an effective width of 1.90 m and are positioned between the pit wall and silo sheeting, and fitted with perforated PVC pipes at the bottom. After deposition of the silage and covering-over with the silo sheeting, the woven sheets are placed with an overlap of 25 cm and tensioned with belts and steel tubes over the full surface.
