The Gotthard is our compact plate heat exchanger using a counterflow principle. As is the case with all our plate heat exchangers, it ensures a low pressure drop for energy-saving operation. Its unique stability and the clever plug and play concept enable smaller, more compact AHUs that are quick to install. A quick guide to added value Energy savings through reduced fan power The drive power for the fans makes up a significant proportion of the running costs for AHUs. For the Gotthard, we developed a special profile with optimised distances between the heat exchanger plates. The pressure drop is substantially reduced while the level of heat transfer remains extremely high. This means that less fan power is required throughout the year, leading in turn to reduced running costs.
