Programming options for text insertion display include time/date information and format, text color, text display dwell time, and text positionin the picture. Up to 12 lines with amaximum of 24 characters each are allowed, including: combinations of upper and lower case letters, numerals, punctuation, and symbols. Other programming menus on the5232MPallow the user to specify RS-232 options, text format for ATM transactions, and two independently programmable alarm outputs. Alarm options include duration, on/off, andtext alarm. The onboard time/date generator can be synchronized to the ATM network never manually reset time again. Insert Text into VideoSurveillance Images To enhance surveillance capability atATM sites, the 5232MPText Inserter is used to insert text onto videoimages for recording by DVRs orVCRs.The device's software automaticallydetects RS-232 serial communications protocols, bit rates and parity, andauto configures the required interface. The 5232MP's auto-config- uration capability saves time by eliminating errors associated with manual configuration.Two rear-panel DB25 connectorsprovide hard-wired connections to either a DTE or DCE device. Separate in/out connectors provide loop-through connections. >
