Product Overview
The Homematic IP Window and Door Contact (HmIP-SWDO-2 | HmIP-SWDO-A) is a compact sensor that detects the opening and closing of windows and doors using an integrated infrared light barrier. It enhances home security and energy efficiency by automatically adjusting room temperature during ventilation.

Energy Efficiency
When used with the Homematic IP Radiator Thermostat, the sensor reduces room temperature when windows are opened, with user-defined settings. The comfort temperature is restored once windows are closed.

Monitoring and Security
The Homematic IP app provides real-time monitoring of windows and doors, enhancing security. Integration with the Homematic IP Alarm Siren triggers an alarm if unauthorized opening is detected.

Design and Installation
The sensor comes with interchangeable caps in white and brown to match window frames. It can be installed using screws or adhesive strips, suitable for rented properties due to residue-free removal.
