The Homematic IP Contact Interface is easily integrated into the Homematic IP system for the convenient wireless control of other Homematic IP devices using conventional pushbuttons or switches. The very flat design and battery operation allow the contact interface to be easily installed in a flush-mounted box. EASY TO RETROFIT The Contact Interface allows retrofitting of elements such as conventional floating pushbuttons or switches with six buttons to enable intelligent and individual wireless control. Operation requires connection to one of the following solutions:  Homematic IP access point with free smartphone app and free cloud service  CCU3 central control unit with WebUI local user interface SMART INTEGRATION & UNIVERSAL USE With the Contact Interface, any potential-free switches, pushbuttons or contacts can be easily integrated into the Homematic IP system, e.g. to implement the following functions: Switches: Switch lights on and off Pushbuttons: Dim lights or raise and lower shutters Contacts for monitoring windows and doors: Reduce temperature when ventilating, trigger an alarm, lock/unlock door lock drive SIMPLE INSTALLATION No mains connection is required thanks to battery operation.
