Product catalog summary
Available Dimensions:
The gluelam beams are available in widths of 60 mm and 80 mm, derived from BS11 ripped timber. However, the ripped side is not suitable for visible parts due to shrinkage cracks. The beams are available in various thicknesses ranging from 120 mm to 1000 mm, with widths extending up to 200 mm.
Pricing and Invoicing:
Prices are available for BS 11 Visible and BS 14 Visible grades. Invoicing is based on multiples of 40 mm lams, with a new basis for invoicing introduced.
Material Characteristics:
Gluelam beams are noted for their high form maintenance and dimensional stability, even in large sizes. They are resistant to twisting and cracking, with quality assured through strict inspections. The beams are technically dried to a wood moisture content of 12% ± 2%, planed on four sides, chamfered, and precisely trimmed. They are delivered wrapped in film for protection.
Standards and Specifications:
The beams comply with DIN 1052-1/A1, BS 11/GL 24h, and BS 14/GL 28h standards. They are suitable for application classifications I (interior) and II (external under roofing). The beams are made from high-quality North Scandinavian spruce and feature waterproof gluing with polyurethane adhesives.
Customization and Applications:
Custom projects, curved girders, and special cross-sections are available upon request. The beams are produced in approximately 200 standard cross-sections and available in lengths from 2.3 m to 18.0 m. Scandinavian spruce is recommended for visible parts and superior habitation demands.
