Push the threaded nipple over the ground wire and the fixture wire. 2. Screw the threaded nipple into the coupling at the top of the fixture. 3. Slip the brass column and bobèche over the ground and fixture wire. 4. Thread the brass loop onto the threaded nipple. The column assembly is now complete. HANGING ASSEMBLY 1. Attach the chain to the top loop of the fixture and pull the wire 2. Holtkötter 3800 Chandelier Collection WIRING INTO THE OUTLET BOX Connect the copper ground wire to the ground wire on the outlet box. The fixture wire (=lamp cord) has a marked side which is rough, and an unmarked side which is smooth. Holding your thumb over both sides of the wire, you can feel the rough and smooth part of the wire. The rough side of the wire connects to the white (neutral) wire in the outlet box.
