A column assembly consisting of: brass column piece brass loop brass bobèche hanging hardware The fixture is pre-wired. The only things that need to be attached are the ball and the 1. Slip the brass column and bobèche over the ground and fixture wire. 4. Thread the brass loop onto the threaded nipple. The column assembly is now complete. II. BOTTOM BALL ASSEMBLY The bottom ball kit includes: 1. Thread the nipple into the coupling at the bottom of the fixture. 2. Slip the brass ball over the threaded nipple. 3. Thread the finial on until the brass ball is hand-tight against the fixture. 1. Attach the chain to the top loop of the fixture and pull the wire through the 2. Once the wire is pulled through the chain, attach the other side of the chain to the screw collar loop and screw the fixture bar over the 1/4 IP threaded Now the fixture is ready to be hung. IV. WIRING INTO THE OUTLET BOX Connect the copper ground wire to the ground wire on the outlet box. The fixture wire (=lamp cord) has a marked side which is rough, and an unmarked side which is smooth. Holding your thumb over both sides of the wire, you can feel the rough and smooth part of the wire. The rough side of the wire connects to the white (neutral) wire in the outlet box.
