The FORJADO MT-76 is a galvanized composite floor decking system with a useful width of 880 mm. It is designed primarily for use in metal-structured buildings where dimensional and spatial considerations are significant. Typical applications include industrial buildings, office buildings, hospitals, leisure and educational centers, and shopping centers.

Design and Standards

The MT-76 technical characteristics were developed in collaboration with architect David García Carrera and validated through extensive testing by the LGAI Technological Center. The design values are based on the manual from the Institute of Construction Technology of Catalonia and comply with Eurocode 4, Part 1-1, which governs composite concrete and steel structures.

Usage Recommendations

The profile height, including the dovetail edges, defines the use of the decking. It is especially recommended for mixed concrete and steel structures where the span and load requirements are critical.

Load Capacity Tables

Static load capacities (in daN/m²) for normal concrete slabs with three supports are provided for different thicknesses (0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, and 1.2 mm), slab depths (10 to 20 cm), and spans (2 to 5.75 m). The tables specify maximum static loads under uniform distributed loads with a deflection limit of L/250 and a single point load placed at the center of the span.

Limitations and Restrictions

Point loads must be placed at the center of the span, and deflection must not exceed L/250 to ensure structural integrity.
