PU 63 PAINT

Product catalog summary
Product Overview: The PU 63 Paint is a weather- and UV-resistant polyurethane resin-based finish with solvent, designed for playground surfacing. It is elastic, abrasion-resistant, and features an anti-slip formula.
Chemical Base and Applications: The paint is composed of polyol and isocyanate, with a mixing ratio of 100:20 by weight. It is available in various colors including red, yellow, green, orange, and blue.
Product Properties: The density at 20°C is 1.13 g/cm³ for polyol and 1.07 g/cm³ for isocyanate. The dry viscosity ranges from 45 to 80 (DIN 4mm cut). The pot life is approximately 3 hours at 20°C.
Polymerization: The paint dries through solvent evaporation and a chemical reaction between polyol and isocyanate. At 20°C, it becomes dust dry in 1 to 5 hours, tack-free in 2 to 3 hours, suitable for circulation in 12 hours, and ready for intensive use in 3 to 5 days.
Recommendations for Use: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from oil or grease. Mix hardener B with component A according to the specified ratio. Apply using AIRLESS-type spraying equipment, maintaining a temperature above +10°C during polymerization.
Consumption: Approximately 0.300 kg per coat, with two crossed coats necessary.
Precautions: Use personal protective equipment. Avoid contact with food, drinks, and animal feed. Use respiratory protection in poorly ventilated areas or during spraying. Wear PVC gloves, airtight protection glasses, and store work clothes separately.
Other Information: Available in kits of 4.8 kg or 24 kg. Store components protected from moisture at temperatures between 15 and 25°C. Products are stable for at least 6 months if stored properly.

PRODUCT DATA SHEET – PU 63 PAINT I. CHEMICAL BASE / APPLICATIONS Weather- and UV-resistant polyurethane resin-based finish with solvent. The product is elastic and abrasion resistant. Anti-slip formula suited to playground surfacing. Density g/cm3 – 20°C DIN 53217 Dry. viscosity – 20°C DIN 4mm cut Mixing ratio Red Yellow Green Orange Blue Others to order Pot life Approximately 3 hours at 20°C. The pot life may be reduced by increasing the temperature of the components. III. POLYMERIZATION The paint dries by evaporation of the solvent phase and by chemical reaction between the polyol and the isocyanate. At 20°C, the hardening profile is as follows: Dust dry 1 to 5 hours Tack free 2 to 3 hours Suitable for circulation 12 hours Intensive use 3 to 5 days IV. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE In order to ensure optimal adhesion, the surface must be clean and dry, and free from any oil or grease. The hardener B must be carefully mixed with the component A according to the mixing ratio. Ground and air temperature should not fall below + 10°C during polymerization. Only spray on with AIRLESS-type spraying equipment. V. CONSUMPTION Approximately 0.300kg per coat. The exact quantities depend on the type of base. Two crossed coats are necessary. VI. PRECAUTIONS Wear personal protective equipment. Take general protection and hygiene measures: Keep away from food products, drinks and animal feed. Wash hands before each break and when the work is finished. Respiratory protection: In the event of minor or short exposure, wear a filter mask. In the event of intense or long exposure, use a breathing device independent of the ambient air. Wearing a breathing mask is compulsory in insufficiently ventilated premises or in case of spraying. Fresh air mask or, for short duration work, combined filter mask A2 – P2. Protect hands by wearing PVC gloves....
