Oil burner HLZ 45 A/BV

Oil burner HLZ 45 A/BV

Product catalog summary
Specifications:
The document outlines the specifications for various models of oil burners, including their oil nozzle capacity (USgal/h), oil throughput (kg/h), and firing capacity (kW). Models range from HLZ 45 AV17 G1 to HLZ 45 BV31 G2, with firing capacities from 10 kW to 78 kW.

Fuel:
The burners are compatible with standard and low-sulfur heating oil according to DIN 51603-1 and Bio 10 heating oil according to DIN V 51603-6.

Components:
Key components include an ebm-papst blower, ACC motor, Danfoss oil pump and preheater, Danfoss ignition unit, BST-Solutions flame monitor, Elster combustion controller, and Herrmann communication interface.

Electrical Data:
The burners operate at a nominal voltage of 230 V~ 50 Hz, with a starting power of approximately 180 W and operating power between 130 – 270 W.

Operating Principle:
The burners use a two-stage blue flame burner with an eBus interface and optional communication interface. They feature a speed-controlled EC blower, high safety standards, low energy consumption, low emissions, and quiet operation.

Combustion Principle:
A blue flame mixing device is used, which pre-vaporizes the fuel spray by recirculating hot flue gases, reducing soot and nitrogen oxide emissions.

Innovative Blower Technology:
The EC blower is designed for low noise and high pressure stability, ensuring a pulsation-free start even at high combustion chamber pressures.

Two-Stage Oil Pump:
The oil pump operates at pressures from 8 to 25 bar, allowing modulation of the firing capacity in a 2:1 ratio.

Digital Combustion Controller:
The controller is compliant with EN 230:2005 and allows for safe evaluation of a boiler-side safety temperature limiter. It supports both 1st and 2nd stage starts and can be connected to an eBUS-compatible boiler control.

Room Air Independent Operation:
The burner is prepared for connection to an air-exhaust system with a rotatable air intake nozzle.

Serviceability:
All electrical components are plug-in, and the burner can be rotated for maintenance. Special tools are provided for service needs.

Program Sequence:
The burner start sequence involves preheating the oil, checking contacts, and starting the ignition and pump motors. The transition between load stages is smooth and emission-friendly, with adjustments based on blower speed.

Motivation:
Modern buildings with high insulation standards require burners that can handle fluctuating heating loads efficiently. Two-stage burners are recommended for better efficiency and lower emissions.
