Product catalog summary
Product Overview:
DRAINfIx®Clean is a rainwater treatment system designed for filtering stormwater from traffic-exposed surfaces. It is suitable for areas with limited space and can handle heavy rain events due to its large retention volume.

Specifications:
  • FASERFIX®SUPeR channels available in types 300 and 400, compliant with EN 1433.
  • Usable height of 505 mm and retention volume between 75 to 110 litres.
  • Constructed from fibre-reinforced concrete with a boltless locking system (SIDE-LOCK).
  • High bending tensile strength and loading capacity up to F 900.
  • Drainage pipe made of durable PEHD with a diameter of 100 mm.
  • Filter mesh wrapped in geotextile.
  • Percolation block with high storage capacity, suitable for loads up to SLW 60.

Application Areas:
  • Parking lots, yards, trading estates, and roads with heavy traffic.

Functionality:
  • Operates on surface filtration principle with a cleaning capacity of over 90% for particulate fractions.
  • Long service intervals due to large filter surface.
  • Can withstand traffic loads up to class F 900.

Installation Instructions:
  • Channels are installed in a concrete base, resistant to frost and salt, and suitable for heavy loads.
  • Compatible with asphalt, concrete, or paving finishes.

Filter Substrate:
  • Contains carbonate for precipitation and fixation of dissolved heavy metals.
  • Strong filtering effect, retaining very fine particles (0.006 to 0.060 mm).
  • Complies with EN 1433 with various grating options.

Hydraulic Performance:
  • Performance depends on the resistance factor (kf) of the filter substrate and retention volume.
  • Designed to handle extreme precipitation volumes with a retention volume of up to 110 litres.

Hydraulic Dimensioning:
  • Based on KOSTRa-DWD 2000 and DIN EN 752 standards.
  • Run-off factors and calculation methods as per DWA-A 138 and DWA-M 153.

Principles of Rainwater Treatment:
  • Pollutants are retained through filtration, with the substrate designed for long-term performance.
  • Filter cake formation is crucial for maintaining permeability.

Drainfix®Clean Hydraulic performance The draining performance achieved depends primarily on the resistance factor (kf) of the filter substrate and the retention volume of the channel. However, installation Hydraulic dimensioning of the channel filter system in accordance with KOSTRA-DWD 2000: intensity and distribution of precipitation location and situation also play important part for the correct hydraulic sizing of the filter system. DWA-A 138, DWA-M 153: recommended run-off factors The quantities of water to be handled by the system can be Ideal in situations where space is at a premium since...

The run-off factor qj determines the part of the precipitation which arrives at the drainage channel. As with the calculation of standard drainage channels, the quantity of precipitation arriving at the DRAINFIX CLEAN filter substrate channel needs to be calculated. The total quantity is the sum of the individual run-off quantities of connected areas with different surface finishes, based on their run-off factors and the selected rainwater yield or precipitation sequence.

Drainfix®Clean Principles of rainwater treatment Pollutants (e.g. heavy metals) are mostly attached to very fine particles. The only way to retain these reliably is through filtration. The substrate has to be designed for this task! after 4 weeks the first particles can be detected The determining factor for the long-term hydraulic performance of filtration depends on the formation of the filter cake. The permeability of the filter substrate is only important at the beginning. In order to ensure that the filter cake remains permeable for prolonged periods, it is necessary for the filter system...
