AQUAFIX Separator

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides an in-depth look at AquaFiX® Separators, which are advanced systems for sustainable water treatment. These separators are essential for purifying contaminated water before it is released back into the environment.
Specifications: AquaFiX® Separators are available in materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene, steel, and concrete. They are tailored to meet specific project requirements and adhere to relevant standards and regulations.
Operating Principle: The separators operate by exploiting the density differences between water and contaminants. Light liquids like oil float to the surface for removal, and coalescence separators improve this by combining small oil particles into larger ones for easier extraction.
Application Areas: These systems are utilized in locations such as fuel stations, industrial sites, car washes, and food processing industries where water contamination with hydrocarbons, grease, or fatty acids is common.
Warning Systems: Three types of warning systems are available to monitor the performance of the separators and alert users to issues like oil layer thickness or blockages.
Features of Steel Series G: The steel series is compact, complies with EN 858/DIN 1999 standards, and includes features like easy-to-clean coalescence material and maintenance-free blocks. Additional components can be added to enhance performance.
Technical Data: Detailed tables provide information on dimensions, capacities, and flow rates for various separator models, indicating their suitability for different operational needs.
Installation Instructions for Separator Series "PP" Made of Polypropylene:
  • Ensure a level and stable base on earth or concrete.
  • Connect the inlet and outlet to the sewage system.
  • Attach a 50 mm diameter ventilation.
  • Use a height adapter if necessary and adjust accordingly.
  • Fill the system with clean water and pack sand around it.
  • A self-supporting concrete base is required if multiple height adapters are used.
Operation and Maintenance of AquaFix® Light Liquid Separators Series "PP":
  • Clean and fill the system with fresh water before start-up, ensuring equal water levels in all chambers.
  • Check for leaks in system joints.
  • Adhere to EN 858 regulations and local drainage statutes.
  • Only allow sewage that does not affect separator operation; avoid emulsions, solvents, and rainwater.
  • Drain the separator every six months, ensuring it does not exceed 85% capacity.
  • Dispose of separated materials through an approved company.
  • Do not remove the insert during operation for coalescence separators and replace soiled materials as needed.
Operation and Maintenance of AquaFix® Grease Separators Series "PP":
  • Clean and fill the system with fresh water before start-up.
  • Follow EN 1825 regulations and local water removal instructions.
  • Prevent domestic sewage and light mineral liquids from entering the separator.
  • Clean grease separators at least monthly, more frequently if needed.
  • Use approved disposal companies for separated materials.
  • Refill the system with fresh water after cleaning.
  • Use mobile ladders and extract vapour/air mixtures before entering the system.
  • Service the separator monthly, ensuring all components are in good condition.

THE WATER TREATMENT RANGE. MODERN SEPARATION TECHNOLOGY FOR SUSTAINABLE PRESERVATION Living rivers and lakes, intact groundwater resources, a secure and reliable water supply and efficient wastewater disposal are fundamental reguirements for environmentally sound economic development. To avoid harming nature, contaminated water must be treated before it is allowed to flow directly or indirectly back into the natural water cycle. The mechanical separation process is designed to separate mixtures of substances. The aim is to remove one or more components of the mixture. The operating principle...

THE WATER TREATMENT RANGE. MODERN SEPARATION TECHNOLOGY FOR SUSTAINABLE PRESERVATION OF VITAL RESOURCES. Water is one of the most valuable resources on Earth. Germany has one of the best developed sewage systems in the world. If both are to be protected and kept in good condition for our descendants, efficient cleansing In fuel stations, industrial and commercial areas where surface water or effluents are polluted with hydrocarbon compounds, light liguid separators are needed that satisfy the rigorous reguirements of the norms and regulations governing groundwater protection. ALARM DEVICES. WARNING SYSTEMS □ Warning system type 1 The W1 LAL-SRW-PF-01 warning system is an alarming device for light liguid separators (petrol, oil and coalescence separators) that is licensed for operation in potentially explosive areas (Zone 0). It is used to detect the oil layer thickness in a light liguid separator. The warning system consists of a signalling unit with LED's for „Power", „System OK", „Layer thickness alarm" and „Sensor error" and an acoustic alarm. The acoustic alarm can be manually disabled. The „Sensor error" diode cannot be acknowledged until the cause of the alarm...
