HANDI-VAN RAMPS VAN RAMPS The Van Ramp Series from Handi-Ramp ® includes a wide range of ramps designed to be mounted in full size vans and some mini-vans. Van Ramps are available in 5 foot, 61/2 foot and 7 foot lengths to meet your individual needs. The standard width of 26 inches accommodates most wheelchairs and vehicles. Other lengths & widths are available on a special order basis. THE LOW COST ALTERNATIVE TO A LIFT The Handi-Ramp Van Ramp Series is a low cost alternative to a lift system and offers the most economical solution for wheelchair transportation available on the market today. The AV78 (78” long aluminum van ramp) in the side door of a Volkswagen Eurovan. Our van ramps fold in half and store vertically inside your van, conserving precious passenger space. All of our van ramps are lightweight and can be operated with minimum effort by one person. Equipped with “pneumatic spring assisted lifting,” Handi-Ramp Van Ramps have been designed for easy use. The amount of lift effort required to store our 61/2 foot Aluminum Van Ramp is between 17.5 and 20 pounds based on model. We also offer a Steel Van Ramp that requires between 30 and 36 pounds of lift effort. Nonskid surface and side safety curbs are included on all Handi-Ramp Van Ramps offering safe and easy access to your van. The amount of effort required to lift this AV78 (Aluminum Van Ramp) is under 20 pounds, making it very easy to operate. All Handi-Ramp Van Ramps can be installed using our simple 3-bolt installation technique or with our Quick MountTM system. The Quick Mount allows you to remove and re-install the van ramp easily. Van Ramp installation does not require major modification to your vehicle. Portable, rear entrance ramps are also available. Please call us for further information. HANDI-VAN RAMPS Handi-Ramp also manufactures a ramp system for Sprinter Vans. These ramps have a capacity of 750 or 1200 pounds. Rear and side door applications are available. The custom designed pneumatic spring assist provides assistance to reduce the lifting weight of the ramp to between 17.5 to 35 lbs. depending on the ramp model. A 4 Point Tie Down System is recommended for securing your wheelchair or scooter inside the van. The straps can attach to either individual floor plates or tracks (pictured below).
