60/POLLUSTOP/250/0106/EN Pollustop Pollustop Advanced Air Purification Technologies Pollustop is a standard range of modules designed, primarily, to be incorporated into commercial kitchen ventilation systems where the control of airborne pollutants at the discharge point is a requirement. There are 7 standard units ranging in duty from 0.9 m³/s to 6.3 m³/s. The individual modules, for each size of unit, are as follows: Panel & Bag Filter Module (PBM 01 to 07) HEPA Filter Module (HM 01 to 07) Activated Carbon Filter Module (ACM 01 to 07) Optional modules are: UV-C Module (UVM / x lamps) Extract Fan Module (EFM 01 to 07) Access Module (AM 01 to 07) The Pollustop range was conceived, initially, to compliment our Reactocell UV-C Kitchen canopies / ventilated ceilings. It is now widely understood that certain ultraviolet lamps, when incorporated within the exhaust plenum of a kitchen extract canopy, will remove airborne grease that is not removed by the primary canopy grease filters. It is also the case that, by increasing the UV lampage to a carefully-selected level, airborne cooking odours will be so minimal that it can negate the need to discharge the vitiated air at high level in the building. [Always subject to EHO prior-approval] The Panel / Bag and HEPA modules combine to reduce airborne contaminants [ie. smoke] to <0.3 microns [UV-C will not remove smoke]. The Activated Carbon module is simply there to absorb surplus ozone [O] produced by the 185nm UV-C lamps in the kitchen canopies at times when the cooking operation is not running at maximum load.
