PVA Drywall Interior Primer GL1050-1200 DESCRIPTION GLIDDEN™ PVA Drywall primer & sealer is a water-based, fast-drying primer and sealer formulated for use on new drywall. It can be applied with a brush or roller for use under latex or alkyd paints on properly prepared new or previously painted drywall, concrete block and brick. GLIDDEN™ PVA Drywall primer & sealer dries quickly and sands easily. It is ideal for use on new and existing residential construction and commercial structures. SPECIFICATION DATA Color: White (tintable, limit 4 oz/gal) Finish: Eggshell Flat, 3 - 9 units @ 85º Clean-up Solvent: Soap and water Density: 9.88 lbs/gal (1.19 kg/L) VOC: 50 g/L (0.42 lbs/gal) maximum Easy application Fast drying High hiding Easy soap and water clean-up Low odor Low VOC Solids: Volume - 16% +/- 2% Weight - 28% +/- 2% Practical Coverage: 2 Apply at 250-300 sq ft/gal (6-7 m /L). Actual coverage may vary depending on substrate and application method. SURFACE PREPARATION PREPARING PAINTED SURFACES FOR A PROFESSIONAL FINISH Spackle holes or cracks • Lightly sand glossy areas. Make sure all areas are clean, sound and free of flaking paint or all substances such as oil, grease, dirt…anything that will get between your surface and your primer • Wash mildewed surfaces with a solution of 16 oz (473 mL) liquid household bleach and two oz (59 mL) non-ammoniated liquid detergent per gallon (3.785 L) of water • Rinse well with clean water • Allow to dry 24 hours • Apply GLIDDEN PVA Drywall primer & sealer to properly prepared previously painted...
