Description: GLIDDEN™ PVA Drywall primer & sealer is a water-based, fast-drying primer and sealer designed for new drywall. It can be applied with a brush or roller and is suitable for use under latex or alkyd paints on properly prepared surfaces such as drywall, concrete block, and brick. It dries quickly and sands easily, making it ideal for residential and commercial structures.
Features: The primer offers easy application, fast drying, high hiding, easy soap and water clean-up, low odor, and low VOC.
Composition: It contains vinyl-acrylic resin, titanium dioxide, and extender pigments. It is not manufactured with lead or mercury-containing materials.

Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, sound, and free of flaking paint or substances like oil and grease. For mildewed surfaces, wash with a bleach solution, rinse, and allow to dry for 24 hours before applying the primer.
Directions for Use:
  • For painted surfaces: Spackle holes or cracks and sand glossy areas.
  • For unpainted surfaces: Allow joint compound on wallboard to dry for two days before priming. Sand wood lightly and prime with acrylic primer GL3210. Cure concrete, plaster, masonry, and stucco for 30 days before painting. Clean galvanized metal and aluminum before priming.
Precautions: Avoid exposure to lead dust when scraping or sanding old paint. Use a NIOSH-approved respirator and clean up with a HEPA vacuum and wet mop. Ensure adequate ventilation during use and avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of discomfort, seek fresh air and medical attention if necessary.
Tools: Use a ⅜” - ½” nap roller and a nylon or polyester brush/paint pad.
Clean Up: Clean hands and tools with warm, soapy water. Clean spills immediately with a damp cloth.
Packaging: Available in 1 gallon (3.785 L) and 5 gallons (18.925 L).

SURFACE PREPARATION PREPARING PAINTED SURFACES FOR A PROFESSIONAL FINISH Spackle holes or cracks • Lightly sand glossy areas. Make sure all areas are clean, sound and free of flaking paint or all substances such as oil, grease, dirt…anything that will get between your surface and your primer • Wash mildewed surfaces with a solution of 16 oz (473 mL) liquid household bleach and two oz (59 mL) non-ammoniated liquid detergent per gallon (3.785 L) of water • Rinse well with clean water • Allow to dry 24 hours • Apply GLIDDEN PVA Drywall primer & sealer to properly prepared previously painted surfaces....
