It hides minor surface imperfections and dries quickly to a smooth, even finish. SURFACE PREPARATION Clean and dry all surfaces to remove any dirt, dust, grease, wax, loose or peeling paint. Dull glossy surfaces by sanding or using a surface conditioner. Patch all cracks and holes with a patching compound; sand and prime before painting. Prime unpainted wood, metal, drywall or plaster with the appropriate GLIDDEN™ primer. WARNING! If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN.
