Product sheet STRUCTURAL SUPPORT YOU CAN COUNT ON AN ADVANCED ALTERNATIVE GP Lam® LVL is an excellent alternative to traditional sawn lumber when used as oor beams, door, window and garage door headers, and ridge and hip beams. GP Lam LVL is a strong, stiff and consistent building material than can support heavy loads over longer spans than conventional lumber. Carry heavy loads over long spans Its high strength-to-weight ratio makes GP Lam LVL more than 50% stronger than solid sawn wood. And it resists shrinking, warping, splitting and checking. GP Lam 2.0E has high design values for bending, stiffness and shear strength, while GP Lam 1.5E is great for lower stress applications such as window and door headers. Moisture protection on the jobsite For better performance, GP Lam LVL features FiberGuard™ sealant to minimize cupping and warping due to moisture damage while in storage, in transit, and on the jobsite. The LVL is evenly coated on all four sides and both ends with a modied acrylic emulsion lm, helping to reduce the moisture absorption rate and reduce the damage that an unprotected product may sustain.
