Approved Applications:
Tested and approved by APA-EWS, FiberStrong Rim Board can be used as a rim board, starter joist, and a short span, lightly loaded header with a maximum span of 4 feet. It is not recommended for use as a structural joist, rafter, or ledger.

Connection Requirements:
- To Joist: Face-nail with two 8d nails.
- To Plate: Toe-nail with 8d or 16d nails.
- Subfloor: Attach per building code or manufacturer’s specifications.
- To Rim: Face-nail at corners with three 8d nails.
- Ledger: Use 1/29 through bolts or lag screws with specific installation instructions.
