G-TEX REFLEX - 1

GLOSSY WHITE ALUMINIUM FPO GEOMEMBRANE, WATERPROOF, WITH HIGH PUNCHING RESISTANCE, REFLECTIVE, WITH VAPOUR DIFFUSION CONTROL AND DIMENSIONAL STABILITY BETWEEN -40 °C AND +80 °C, ANTI-ROOT, ANTI-MOULD, ELASTIC, FLEXIBLE, TO WATERPROOF ANY TYPE AND SIZE OF SURFACE. Technical Data Sheet – Rev. 05/2019 DESCRIPTION G-TEX REFLEX is a multilayer polymeric geomembrane with exclusive technology consisting of:  White aluminium sheet.  FPO: double layer Flexible PolyOlefin + EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate), with permanent elasticity and variable shape that compensates and absorbs the dimensional variations of the substrates;  TNT/S: Polypropylene 150 g/m2 non-woven fabric that guarantees high vapour diffusion. G-TEX REFLEX is waterproof with high punching resistance, reflective, with vapour diffusion control and dimensional stability between -40 °C and +80 °C, antiroot, anti-mould, elastic, flexible and resistant to continuous contact with water. It allows waterproofing systems to be applied on terraces, roof terraces, flat roofs and surfaces of any type and size, ensuring continuity in the waterproofing of the substrate even in the presence of surface cracks in the substrate, limiting them, without deteriorating. Thanks to its reflective white aluminium surface, G-TEX REFLEX prevents the accumulation of temperature on the surface, improving living comfort. Thanks to its smooth surface, it guarantees the perfect flow of rainwater, thereby avoiding the accumulation of dirt. G-TEX REFLEX can be left exposed and does not require additional protective coverings, thereby allowing good foot traffic. Compliant with European Standard EN 13596 (“Flexible membranes for waterproofing - Membranes of plastic and rubber material for waterproofing roofing”). FIELDS OF APPLICATION Designed to guarantee perfect water tightness over time, G-TEX REFLEX is used to waterproof terraces, roofs or large surfaces with an exposed finish, even before installing photovoltaic systems, and to waterproof tanks or basins for water collection with an exposed finish. In the construction of cool roofs, it is used to waterproof the substrate and reduce the absorption of sunrays, thus lowering the roof temperature. G-TEX REFLEX is ideal for continuous waterproofing before applying any technical or floating floor system or before installing green roofs with natural or artificial greenery.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION The substrate to be waterproofed must comply with the requirements set forth by Standard UNI 11493 regarding curing, integrity, mechanical and superficial strength, dimensional regularity, moisture and absence of contaminating agents. Regardless of the type of substrate, waterproofing requires giving proper consideration to all the details such as positioning of the drains, regularisation of interconnecting points between floor and wall, of both interior and exterior corners and treatment of any structural couplings. Cementitious screeds Provide suitable slopes and set...

the fresh adhesive layer. Exert adequate pressure over the entire length of the tape that has just been applied, eliminating excess product, so as not to leave air bubbles and ensure a perfect seal. 7. Where the floor and the wall meet with a rounded edge, the geomembrane can be overlapped on the vertical sides at the necessary height. Junctions with non-rounded edges require a seal between the vertical and horizontal geomembranes with the G-TEX STRIP REFLEX H 20 perimeter tape, glued with AQUAFIX ULTRA (A+B) bi-component adhesive. 8. Use the self-adhesive butyl tape G-TEX STRIP BUTYL H 10...

Do not use G-TEX STRIP BUTY H 10 L to waterproof tanks where continuous contact with water is expected. When sealing combined joints with G-TEX STRIP REFLEX H 10, it is recommended to use gummed paper tape to prevent AQUAFIX ULTRA (A+B) from leaking. Any product residue can be easily removed immediately. Accidental damage to G-TEX REFLEX must be restored by applying additional geomembrane sheets, adequately sealed, to cover the damaged part. In the presence of steel, metal, plastic or PVC elements, seal G-TEX REFLEX with specific sealing adhesive AQUAFIX HYBRID. Store in the original...

Waterproofing tanks or basins for water collection G-TEX REFLEX will be glued to the solid and grease-free substrate with a gel-sol-gel adhesive with variable rheology, high hydrophilicity and high performance, classified as C2TE S1 by Standard EN 12004, such as GEODRY AQUABOND EXTRAFLEX. The combined joints between adjacent geomembrane sheets must be sealed with waterproof aluminium tape - FPO, 10 cm wide, such as GEODRY G-TEX STRIP REFLEX H 10, to be bonded with a bi-component reactive adhesive, such as GEODRY AQUAFIX ULTRA (A+B). The internal and/or external corners must be sealed with...
