Technical Data Sheet – Rev. 03/2018 DESCRIPTION AQUAFIX HYBRID is a ready-to-use sealing adhesive formulated with exclusive Silyl-terminated SiMP Polymer-based permanently elastic polymers with low environmental impact, solvent and isocyanate-free, resistant to ageing, atmospheric agents and UV rays. AQUAFIX HYBRID has been designed to guarantee the continuity and durability over time of GEODRY waterproofing systems, thanks to its chemical compatibility with G-TEX geomembranes in flexible polyolefins. It absorbs movement caused by thermal expansion, vibrations and contractions without the risk of breakage. AQUAFIX HYBRID develops perfect adhesion between G-TEX geomembranes and different types of particular surfaces such as stainless steel, aluminium, iron, copper, glass, and plastic and synthetic materials, for the implementation of lasting sealing in GEODRY systems. FIELDS OF APPLICATION AQUAFIX HYBRID, used in GEODRY waterproofing systems, is ideal for bonding and sealing G-TEX geomembranes on all types of construction materials such as concrete, stoneware, natural stone, brick, glass, on metals in general such as stainless steel, aluminium, iron, copper, and on synthetic and plastic materials. The chemical-physical properties of AQUAFIX HYBRID guarantee perfect adhesion and continuous waterproofing, thus eliminating problems with joints between the G-TEX geomembrane and various elements of the substrate to be waterproofed. The product also perfectly adheres to wet surfaces without the user of specific primers as adhesion promoters. AQUAFIX HYBRID is a product suitable for sealing in places where high material movement compensation is required. The product is used in sealing vertical and horizontal expansion joints, in connection joints, in waterproofing roofs, in the perimeter sealing of doors and windows, and in sealing joints on ventilated and continuous façades. SUBSTRATE PREPARATION The substrate to be waterproofed must comply with the requirements set forth by Standard UNI 11493 regarding curing, integrity, mechanical and superficial strength, dimensional regularity, moisture and absence of contaminant agents. Regardless of the type of substrate, waterproofing requires giving proper consideration to all the details such as positioning of the drains, regularisation of interconnecting points between floor and wall, of both interior and exterior corners and treatment of any structural couplings. G-TEX geomembranes The geomembrane surfaces to bond must be clean and free from dust, cement residues or any other material that can jeopardise perfect bonding of the adhesive.

Metal, plastic or synthetic surfaces The surfaces of materials on which sealing is implemented must be clean, dry, free of oil, grease, rust, dust and oxides. Remove dust and cement residues with a jet of compressed air, sandpaper or a hard brush. Non-absorbent surfaces such as glass or metal must be free of deteriorated coating and thoroughly cleaned with a suitable solvent. Anti-adherent materials such as prefabricated panels must be mechanically sanded and then cleaned of any residual dust or any other material that could jeopardise perfect bonding of the adhesive.
