Introduction
Genap BV specializes in providing bottom and cover geomembranes for landfill sites. These geomembranes are crucial for isolating contamination to protect the environment and prevent future pollution.

Specifications
The geomembranes typically use a 2mm HDPE foil, adhering to guidelines for environmental protection and the Soil Protection (Dumping) Decree. The installation of these geomembranes must be performed by a certified company, and Genap has maintained KIWA certification since 1997.

Procedures and Customization
For landfill capping, the geomembrane can be structured to provide stability in the sand layer on embankments. Genap's Engineering Department offers project-specific advice on the appropriate geomembrane for stable embankment construction, including additional measures like drainage layers or geo-grids.

Installation and Customization
The geomembrane constructions are assembled on-site from rolls up to 7 meters wide. Genap also offers customized solutions for outlets and connections to pipes, concrete structures, and settlement markers.

Bottom and cover geomembranes for landfill sites-1

Bottom and cover geomembranes for landfill sites A bottom and cover geomembrane for landfill sites always involves a geomembrane that isolates the contamination in order to protect the environment or to specifically protect against potential future contamination. The seals have to be made under an installation certificate by a certified company. Genap has held this stringent KIWA certification since 1997. A 2mm HDPE foil is usually used for both seals. This is specified under the prevailing guidelines for the use of geomembrane structures to protect the environment and/or the Soil Protection (Dumping) Decree. For landfill capping the geomembrane can be provided with a structure that provides stability in the sand layer on the embankment. Our Engineering Department is able to advise on a project-by-project basis which geomembrane is required for a stable embankment construction, including any additional measures such as drainage layers or geo-grids. The required dimensions and shapes of the geomembrane construction are assembled on site from rolls that are up to 7 metres wide. In addition, we can of course also create customised outlets and connections for pipes, concrete structures and settlement markers.
