The process of remetrado involves verifying the millimetric dimensions of openings on-site using tools such as tapes, levels, theodolites, and telescopes. This ensures the proper fitting of TEMPLEX glass to the structural part of the building according to the assembly plan, ensuring stability and rigidity of the glass and the movement of doors or windows.

Before installation, the following steps should be taken:

TEMPLEX glass should not collide, drag, or rest on hard surfaces. Insulating materials like cork or neoprene should be used with metal fixing accessories to prevent metal-glass contact. The pressure applied by bolts, nuts, and metal plates should ensure firm unions and allow slight movements of the glass within the accessories. Fixing accessories must be strong to avoid deformation or breakage, especially for wind braces. Fixed glass should support the forces of movable glass (e.g., doors and windows) at rotation points. Leave necessary gaps of 3-4 mm for expansion, sealing them with silicone.

Ensure that the installation process maintains the integrity and alignment of the glass panels, taking care to avoid any undue stress or misalignment.

Silicone is a single-component paste that vulcanizes upon exposure to air moisture, forming a strong rubber mass to seal gaps between glass panels or between glass and walls. Available in clear, bronze, and black colors, it should be applied after cleaning surfaces of dirt and contaminants. Use backing material (adhesive tape) and apply silicone continuously with the appropriate gun, then trim excess silicone.
