At first glance, the design of Yksi, which means no. 1 in Finnish, seems quite well known, yet it is completely new and unique when studying it closer. The daring construction features two pairs of legs that unite in an upside down Y-shape to form a single point support for the back and armrest, which almost appears to be hovering above the seat. Thau & Kallio specialises in combining artisanal design with innovative industrial production techniques. The duo consists of Danish Jakob Thau and Finnish Sami Kallio. The driving force behind the duo is their shared love of excellent craftsmanship and an intense curiosity to seek out new materials and challenge conventional componentry. Through this passion, they explore new ways of creating visionary, yet well-regarded furniture designs.

Years of study led to the design of Din Chair that is characterised by a highly international appeal combined with immense seating comfort while dining and socialising. The design of Din is gracious and welcoming offering a sense of privacy due to the closed sides. In contrast to the bold upholstered top, the wooden leg structure is light, lean and elegant. The sumptuous upholstery of Din features an additional backrest padding making it a perfect dining or conference chair for any environment where a statement piece beyond the ordinary is needed to create a luxurious high-class atmosphere.

Oeo is a multi-disciplinary design studio focusing on interiors architecture and product design. Head of Design Thomas Lykke is a strong believer in “reason for being”. He shares an ardent drive for creating products and experiences that harbour an inner sense of necessity and offer enduring quality. A great passion for craftsmanship, tactile natural materials and a lived-in sensibility for the detail are essential elements in his aspirational designs of which some have earned their place in the permanent collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London

Eve is a lightweight wooden lounge chair in an aesthetically intriguing design that combines a wooden ring with a moulded wooden seat, resulting in a genuinely iconic appearance. The exposed construction reveals an intelligent utilisation of the materials, providing a durable structure as well as comfortable ergonomics. The elegance of the chair borders both contemporary and classic design and can easily be combined with a loose cushion or a fur throw to create a softer and warmer appearance. Eve can also stand alone as a showpiece of industrial excellence.

Timo Ripatti is a designer living and working in Finland. His mission is to combine aesthetic, poetic and functional qualities into his works; always striving to design human-scale products that work in a perfect balance with the space and architecture. Timo Ripatti has worked widely in the design field and he lecturers furniture design at the Aalto University in Helsinki and the Lahti Institute of Design and Fine Arts.

Copenhagen design duo Space Copenhagen make headlines with their signature style of elegant, yet classical design lines infused with a contemporary edge that emerge from intuition and emotion. In their work with Fredericia, Space Copenhagen seek to rethink the upholstering traditions held at our factory for more than 100 years. Space Copenhagen was established in 2005 by Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rutzou. Their studio is known for defying habits and employing a sincere personal vision to their design.
