PU 59 GLUE - 1

PRODUCT DATA SHEET – PU 59 GLUE I. CHEMICAL BASE / APPLICATIONS Urethane prepolymer polymerizing with the humidity of the air. Base Diisocyanate: MDI (Diphenylmethane Diisocyanate). Single-component glue designed for gluing flexible materials such as: Rubber fibres or granules (EPDM, SBR, BR, etc.), soft foams (PU or other), Artificial Turf, Wood, Concrete or Coated Material. II. PRODUCT PROPERTIES Solids content DIN 53 189 III. HARDENING The process starts at ambient temperature by a reaction with water vapour or with atmospheric humidity. A higher temperature and a high humidity rate shorten the setting time. The surface can generally be used 24 hours after laying. Total hardening time is between 3 and 5 days. During the hardening, the temperature should not fall below + 10°C. IV. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE The surface must be clean and dry, and free from any oil or grease. The base must be insulated from rising humidity and be more than four weeks old. Base: > 10°C and <4 to 5% humidity (carbide moisture tester). Ambient : > 10°C and <80% humidity. Note: In addition, and for information, the water content must be less than 3.5% at a depth of 10mm when checked with a Krüger 518 S-type tester and less than 4% at 20mm when checked with a Tramextype tester. Ground and air temperature should not fall below + 10°C. Do not apply to a wet base as the glue could foam significantly and fail to stick. Avoid soiling the surface of the tiles. At the intersection of the joints, the seepage must be done with care. Allow a trickle of glue to seep between the joints. Do not leave any visible excess glue (wipe with a cloth). The glue turns yellow as it dries. During laying, the glue foams and seeps into the pores of the rubber conglomerate. Warning, if too much glue is applied, it will become visible as it dries. An even surface of HEXDALLE® tiles is obtained once the glue has dried. Models, drawings and names are registered. No copy or reprography is permitted without prior written authorization. This manual was reviewed in June 2015 and may be updated; please make sure this is the latest version.
