Digital Digital printing involves printing directly from an electronic file to paper. As there are no plates or other set-up requirements and electronic files are so readily transferable in the modern working environment, digital printing is a quick, effective technique and is free of any minimum order restrictions. For information on imagery and file formats contact your local Formica® sales office. Generally we accept most file types and recommend not less than 150dpi at full size as minimum resolution. Silk-screen printing is a multiple layer printing technique, also known as serigraphy, involving the use of stencils to transfer a design. Ink is applied to a silk or nylon screen and penetrates areas of the screen not blocked out by the stencil. By using several stencils a number of colours may be employed layer-by-layer in a single print.
