FERMACELL Gypsum Fibreboards

FERMACELL Gypsum Fibreboards

Product catalog summary
Description of Material: FERMACELL Gypsum Fibreboards are homogeneous, gypsum-based dry construction boards with a paper fibre matrix, sealed at the factory.
Areas of Application: Suitable for interior applications on walls, ceilings, and floors.
Approvals: The boards have building inspectorate approval ETA-03/0050 and comply with DIN EN 13501-1 standards, classified as non-flammable, A2.
Specifications: Available in thicknesses of 10, 12.5, 15, and 18 mm. Dimensional tolerances include length and width of +0/-2 mm, diagonal difference ≤ 2 mm, and thickness tolerance of ± 0.2 mm.
Characteristic Values: Density is 1150 ± 50 kg/m³, water vapour diffusion resistance coefficient μ = 13, thermal conductivity λ = 0.32 W/mK, specific heat capacity c = 1.1 kJ/kgK, Brinell hardness of 30 N/mm², swelling of thickness after 24-hour water immersion is < 2%, coefficient of thermal expansion is 0.001 %/K, expansion/shrinkage due to 30% humidity change at 20 ºC is 0.25 mm/m, moisture content at 65% relative humidity and 20 ºC is 1.3%, and pH value ranges from 7 to 8.
Surfaces: The boards have sanded front and rear faces, with production data and approvals printed on the rear face.
Storage: Boards should be packed and laid flat on pallets, protected against moisture, especially rain.
Application: Boards can be cut with conventional woodworking tools, preferably carbide-tipped tools. The distance between support frame/studs should be ≤ board thickness [mm] x 50 for walls and ≤ board thickness [mm] x 35 for ceilings.
Final Finish: Surfaces can be finished with trowel-applied FST, painted, plastered, or tiled.
Contact Information: FERMACELL Customer Information can be reached at +49 203 501 90 40 or via email at [email protected]. The document was issued in January 2010, and technical changes may occur. Current installation instructions should be noted.
