Product catalog summary
Project Overview
The project, commissioned by the Pensacola Naval Air Station, involved creating a landmark memorial structure inspired by the 'bomb burst maneuver' of the Blue Angels. The design concept reflects the vapor trails from jet aircrafts.

Project Brief
Located on the Florida coastline, the structure features Hypar canopies ranging from 145 ft2 to 380 ft2. These canopies are made from heavyweight woven mesh PVC, engineered to withstand 160 mph hurricane-force winds. The site, reclaimed from the sea, required specialized installation equipment due to its soft and uneven ground.

Design Solution
The resulting structure, named the Skylar Evo, is a bespoke permanent installation. Standing over 40 feet tall, it features three 'kites' arranged in a circular configuration, allowing for diverse viewing angles from land, sea, and air. The design facilitates wind flow, enhancing stability.
