The company commissioned me to design of a system of equipped walls in aluminium; a framework that could be used to support shelving, containers and coat stands. In short, I was asked to design a modern polyfunctional “boiserie”. Il progetto doveva soddisfare diversi requisiti compositivi e funzionali, dando vita ad un sistema semplice, completo e versatile, per adattarsi fluidamente a spazi di diversa natura e attitudine: soggiorno, living, cucina, camere da letto e camerette, bagni... ma anche uffici, spazi commerciali e negozi. The design was expected to satisfy a number of different arrangement and functional requisites, giving rise to a simple, complete and versatile system, that would adapt smoothly to spaces different in terms of destination and attitude: lounge, living-room, kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom… but also offices, business premises and shops. Ho quindi creato un vero e proprio quadro. Una Tabula Picta progettata per conferire un valore realmente connotante alla parete e per diventare un naturale filtro tra muro e tela. Una cornice in alluminio da appendere, che si adatta fluidamente allo spazio e alle esigenze di chi lo abita, grazie a composizioni fatte di pannellature e moduli funzionali che danno forma e valore allo spazio stesso. Therefore I created a painting. A Tabula Picta, designed to add real value to the wall and become a natural filter between the wall and the canvas. It consisted of a suspended aluminium frame that would adapt easily to the space and the requirements of the people who use it, thanks to arrangements created with panels and functional modules that add shape and value to the space itself.
