BioMax PE 2L is an innovative biobased solution for polyethylene (PE) coatings, designed to enhance eco-conscious product portfolios by replacing fossil fuels with high-quality biobased alternatives. This product maintains all existing product aspects while incorporating up to 35% biobased resin content derived from rapeseed and castor plants.

Definition
Biobased materials are derived from biomass resources, which are organic materials available on a renewable or recurring basis, such as crop residues and aquatic plants, as opposed to petroleum-derived materials.

Testing
The biobased content of BioMax PE 2L is verified using ASTM D6866-16, a standard test method for determining biobased content through radiocarbon analysis.

Color Range
BioMax PE 2L can match all solid and metallic colors available in standard PE 2L, with gloss levels ranging from 20 to 90 gloss units. A rough texture surface with gloss levels below 20 g.u. is also possible.
