1876 G. W. DODGE & SON G.W. Dodge formed the Dodge Cork Company in Berlin, N.Y. in 1871. Since Lancaster, PA was known as the gateway city for Western migration in the U.S, G.W. Dodge relocated his business here in 1876, and renamed it The Lancaster Cork Company. 1946 DODGE CORK COMPANY Under A.B. In 1876, G.W. relocated the company to Lancaster, PA and incorporated as “the Lancaster Cork Company.” George W. Dodge and his son, Byron G. WALL CORK, express yourself. CORK UNDERLAYMENT, unbeatable insulation. Wall Cork is made from cork granules and bonded by resin. It can be used as cork boards, bulletin boards, pin-up boards or wall coverings and is available in rolls. Composition cork may also be painted, stained, or silk-screened. Cork underlayment has the unique ability to insulate against heat or cold, as well as vibration and electricity. Cork underlayment comes standard in 48” rolls with a thickness of 1/8” and 1/4”. Composition Cork comes standard in 48” or 36” wall cork rolls with a 1/8” or 1/4” thickness.
