Ecowool® Insulation Ecowool — Applications Ecowool is a natural, loose wool, lofted insulation which has been treated and processed to provide a cost effective, efficient thermal insulation solution. After processing, Ecowool is ready to be installed as a blown-in material for use in attic roof spaces and is installed by Eco Insulation licenced installers. Ecowool is a blend of virgin white wool and coloured wool sourced from New Zealand woollen product manufacturers, which when installed, acts like a 'duvet cover' within the ceiling space. Ecowool — Benefits and features Ecowool is a user friendly, natural product. Ecowool is completely safe, non-toxic and non-allergenic. Ecowool is ideal for retrofit ceiling applications and as a top-up to existing insulation. Ecowool is certified and installed by trained installers. Ecowool - Where it can't be used Ecowool insulation must not be installed if the moisture content of timber framing exceeds 20%. In buildings where there is a high humidity, such as swimming pool halls or saunas, Ecowool insulation must be isolated from the moisture by a vapour barrier. A suitable cover and space from down-lights is required. The insulation provided by Ecowool depends on the thickness of the installed product.
