Product catalog summary
Specifications:
The ecoGEO B/C 5-22 units are designed for indoor installation and support ground source, air source, and hybrid brine systems. They offer heating capabilities across all models, with integrated High Temperature Recovery (HTR) systems in models B/C 3 and B/C 4. Active cooling is integrated in models B/C 3 and B/C 4, while passive cooling is available in models B/C 2 and B/C 4.
Performance:
The compressor modulation range is 20% to 100%, with heating power ranging from 5.8 to 25 kW and a COP of 4.9. Active cooling power ranges from 6 to 22 kW with an EER of 5. The maximum domestic hot water (DHW) temperature without support is 63°C, and with support, it can reach 70°C. Noise emission levels range from 35 to 46 dB, and the energy label is A+++ with an efficiency of 187%.
Operation Limits:
The heating outlet temperature ranges from 10°C to 60°C, while the cooling outlet temperature ranges from 4°C to 35°C. The brine inlet temperature can range from -25°C to +35°C, and the refrigerant circuit pressure ranges from 2 to 45 bar.
Working Fluids:
The units use R410A refrigerant, with a load of 1.7 kg without HTR and 2 kg with HTR. The compressor oil type is POE with a load of 1.18 kg.
Control Electrical Data:
Single-phase and three-phase electrical supply options are available. The maximum recommended external protection is C16A for control electrical data and C50A for single-phase electrical data. The starting current ranges from 6.1 to 15.7 A.
Dimensions/Weight:
The ecoGEO B units measure 1060x600x710 mm, while the ecoGEO C units measure 1804x600x710 mm. The empty weight ranges from 185 kg to 255 kg depending on the model.
Additional Features:
The units feature integrated management of multiple distribution temperatures, buffer tanks, and DHW tanks. They support modulating air units and external auxiliary systems. Cascade systems can manage up to three units, and simultaneous cooling/heating systems are supported. Energy meters are integrated to measure electric consumption and thermal power.
Graphs and Data:
The document includes graphs showing heating and cooling outputs, electric input, and COP/EER values at various compressor speeds and source temperatures. These graphs illustrate the performance characteristics of the units under different operating conditions.

ecoGEO 5-22-1

The thermal power control can modulate within a large range (20-100%) and control the flow of the brine and the production circuit. The compact design includes the brine and production circulating pumps, the brine and production expansion vessels (8l and 121 for brine and production circuits respectively), brine and production security valves and the three-way valve for the DHW. The High Temperature Recovery system (HTR) makes the simultaneous production of DHW and heating or cooling possible, as well as DHW production up to 70 °C without electrical support. Integrated management of up to 4 different distribution temperatures, 2 different buffer tanks (1 for cooling and 1 for heating), 1 DHW tank, 1 pool and the daily schedule of DHW recirculation. Integrated management of modulating air units, both for air source systems and for hybrid (air source - ground source) systems. Integrated management of external variable or ON/OFF auxiliary systems such as boilers or electrical resistances. Integrated management of cascade systems up to 3 units. Integrated management of simultaneous cooling/heating systems according to the scheme. Integrated Passive cooling in models 2 and 4. Integrated Active cooling in models 3 and 4. Single-phase and Three-phase electrical supply availability. Compatibility with e-manager and e-system Integrated energy meters to measure the electric consumption, the heating/cooling thermal power, the COP and the monthly and annual SPF. Replacing or combining the geothermal collector with one or more ecoGEO AU12 aerothermal units. Refer to the ecoGEO AU12 aerothermal units manual for more detailed information. In compliance with EN 14511, this includes the consumption of the circulation pumps and the compressor driver. Considering brine and production flows of 2500 l/h. Considering a heat ramp of 20°C to 50°C in absence of consumption. Considering support provided by the emergency electrical resistor or the HTR system. Maximum DHW temperature with the HTR system can be limited by the compressor discharge temperature. In compliance with EN 12102, this includes the acoustic insulation kit of the compressor. Starting current depends on working condition of the hydraulic circuits. The admissible voltage range for proper operation of the heat pump is ±10%. Maximum consumption can vary significantly according to working conditions, or if the compressor's range of operation is restricted. Refer to the technical service manual for more detailed information. 10. Certification in process.
