American Walnut Dusty Bronze Hardwax

Product catalog summary
Introduction
This document provides detailed information on the characteristics, maintenance, and installation of American Walnut flooring with a Dusty Bronze Hardwax finish. It highlights the natural variations in wood and the impact of environmental factors on the appearance of the floor over time.

Specifications
The flooring is available in both solid and engineered forms, with specific dimensions for each type. The engineered version has a top layer of 4.5 mm, while the solid version is 19.5 mm thick. The wood is sourced from responsibly managed forests in the northern USA.

Finishing and Maintenance
The Dusty Bronze Hardwax finish is designed to complement various styling elements and is achieved through a custom pigment stain sealed with hardwax. Regular cleaning with Natural Oil Soap and professional maintenance with Maintenance Oil are recommended to enhance and protect the finish. Spot repairs can be done using a touch-up kit.

Pre-finishing Options
Pre-finishing is recommended for engineered floors for ease of installation, while solid floors may require on-site finishing to maintain their authentic look. The choice between pre-finished and on-site finishing depends on personal preference and the desired aesthetic.

Climate Considerations
Wood floors may react to changes in humidity and temperature. It is advised to maintain a relative humidity of 40-60% and room temperatures between 17-23°C. Floor heating should not exceed a surface temperature of 27°C to prevent damage.

Finish Options: Oiled vs. Lacquered
Oiled finishes allow the wood to breathe and develop a natural patina, requiring regular maintenance with Oil-Soap and Maintenance Oil. Lacquered finishes provide a more traditional, durable seal but require professional assistance for repairs.

Conclusion
The document emphasizes the importance of choosing the right finish and maintenance routine to ensure the longevity and beauty of the flooring. It also highlights the natural characteristics of wood and the expected changes over time.

American Walnut Dusty Bronze Hardwax-1

American Walnut Dusty Bronze Hardwax A finish we developed to combine with bronze metal, silver, gold, green and dark brown styling elements. Created by combining our custom-made fine pigment stain, and sealing it with two coats of hardwax, the patina increases in depth and finesse with the use of our natural oil soap and maintenance oil to feed and protect the wood. American Walnut Mainly American dark Walnut (Juglans nigra) over 80 years old. Grown in responsibly managed forests in the northern states of the USA. This finish can be cleaned regularly using our Natural Oil Soap. This feeds and strengthens the surface over time and allows you to adjust the patina to your requirements. Spot repair Professional maintenance with our Maintenance Oil will make this finish richer and protect it over time. Spot repairs are possible with our touch-up kit. Recommended patterns Color variation Traffic resistance Patina change in time Whilst we endeavour to portray grain and colour as realistically as possible in our samples and photography, a sample or a photo can never be an exact representation of an entire floor. As wood is a natural material, variations in colour and grain occur. Floors may also change in appearance over time through exposure to light, wear and tear, and maintenance. ** Pre-finishing of solid floors may be subject to stricter recommendations for limited board dimensions and climate control. American Walnut Dusty Bronze Hardwax-2

Solid or Engineered? The option to have your floor ‘pre-finished’ in our mill offers great convenience during the installation process. We unreservedly recommend our pre-finishing solution for any of our Engineered 2-layered floors which offer great stability and convenience during installation. However, beauty is not always about convenience. Would you prefer a traditionally milled Solid floor over an Engineered floor? Then it’s important to realize that, due to the impact of climate, a small amount of movement may occur in the boards. We recognize that small natural imperfections like these...
