MS-POLYMER MARINE

Product catalog summary
Overview: The MS-Polymer Marine is a flexible sealant designed for wood decks in shipbuilding. It is developed by DUROSTICK S.A. and is known for its resistance to sea water and UV radiation, making it suitable for various marine and residential applications.
Properties: This sealant is a silane-modified MS-Polymer with high mechanical strength and unbreakable bonding. It is resistant to prolonged sun and salt exposure, can be sanded after curing, and does not discolor.
Applications: Ideal for sealing joints on wood decks of yachts and ships, as well as wood floor joints in saunas, swimming pools, and fitness centers.
Advantages: The product is solvent-free, resistant to temperature variations from -40°C to +120°C, and does not require priming on stable surfaces. It is a high thixotropy material, meaning it does not sag.
Usage Instructions:
  • Surface Preparation: Ensure joint edges are dry, clean, and free from dust and grease. Joint width should be at least 5mm, with depth proportional to width.
  • Application: Use a professional cartridge gun to apply the sealant at a 45° angle, avoiding air entrapment. Excess material should be removed with a putty knife before skin formation.
Cleaning: Fresh product can be cleaned with DUROSTICK THINNER 101. Once cured, it can only be removed mechanically.
Consumption: Coverage varies by joint size, e.g., a 4x6mm joint covers 12.9 linear meters per cartridge.
Storage: Store in dry places for up to 12 months from the production date.
Safety Directions: Classified as harmful; keep out of reach of children and refer to safety data before use.
Packaging: Available in 300ml cartridges (12 per box) and 600ml 'sausage' tubes (15 per box).
