APPLICATIONS DUROLIN 300 offers the ability to firmly hang all heavyweight and vinyl wallpapers, as well as polyester-backed wallpapers onto absorbent substrates. Suitable for smooth, embossed or woven, but also fabric, and velvet wallpapers as well as posters. For paper backed wallpaper, DUROLIN 200 of DUROSTICK is also recommended. USE 1. Surface preparation Surfaces must be sound, evenly absorbent, dry, clean, free from oils, dust and loose materials, and also need to be perfectly flat. For uneven surfaces, it is recommended to smooth with either the ultrafine skim coat paste STUCOFIX-P or the spackling/patching paste POWDER COAT of DUROSTICK, depending on the surface imperfections. Wall surfaces painted with intense colors that might bleed through the wallpaper, must first be painted white. Bubbled up or peeled paints must be removed completely. The ambient humidity must be within the specified parameters given by the wallpaper manufacturer. If there is existing wallpaper on the surface, remove it with the appropriate wallpaper remover or warm water. Application Depending on the type of wallpaper and always according to the manufacturer’s instructions, DUROLIN 300 can be applied either directly onto the wall or to the back of the wallpaper.
