Technical Datasheet DECOFIN AQUA Acrylic waterborne matte finish varnish for styling vertical surfaces PROPERTIES Acrylic, waterborne clear varnish of matte finish, suitable for interior applications. It highlights decorated surfaces while it remains clear. It gives surfaces depth without affecting their colors and uniqueness, does not yellow nor peel off. It spreads evenly without leaving brush marks; it dries quickly and applies with exceptional ease, just like ordinary waterborne varnishes. It protects surfaces from everyday use and allows for their cleaning with mild household detergents. Odorless, and water soluble product that is friendly to human and the environment. APPLICATIONS DECOFIN AQUA waterborne, matte finish varnish protects interior vertical surfaces that have been decorated with paint, the microcements DS-250, DS-252 FLEX or DS-256 FLEX VELVET, the decorative cement mortar DS- 259 DECO MICRO RESIN, as well as the microcement in paste form DS-258 DECO MICRO FLEX. It ‘hugs’ artistic creations with a clear, du- rable film while it ensures the durability and longevity of their unique image for many years to come. USE Surface preparation Apply DECOFIN AQUA on sound, clean, and dust free surfaces. All decorated surfaces have to be completely dry before applying the varnish therefore it is recommended to apply it in any case at least 2 days after their creation. In low temperature and high humidity conditions, the waiting period before the varnish application has to be made no earlier than four days after the decorative style completion. The same time limitations apply when working with particularly thick decorative styling coats (e.g. surfaces decorated with microcement, etc). Application DECOFIN AQUA is applied in one to two coats, with a roller brush (for the whole surface) and a paintbrush (for the ‘cuts’), after the product has been stirred very well. It dries on the surface in about an hour.
