It's all about VOCs Like most decorators, you probably appreciate the great results delivered by solvent-based paints, stains and varnishes. However, many of the products you use today may change due to EU directive 2004/42/EC, which seeks to reduce the amount of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) emitted through decorative products.
