HIGH GLOSS AM207 Issued March 2014 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION & USE Armstead Trade High Gloss is a professional quality, high gloss finish with excellent durability. Suitable for use on interior and exterior wood, metal and suitably primed masonry surfaces. APPLICATION up to 15M /L 14M2/L 9M2 16-24h 6-16h 4-6h 2-4h WHITE WATER SPIRIT Durable high gloss finish Good opacity & coverage For interior & exterior use PACK SIZES As with other solvent-based paints, do not apply in temperatures below 5ºC (as recommended by British Standard BS 6150). SYSTEM INFORMATION Stir thoroughly before use. The normal recommendation is to apply one coat of Armstead Trade Undercoat, followed by one or two coats of Armstead Trade High Gloss. (contact the AkzoNobel Technical Group). Heat Resistance: Generally resistant to heat up to 90°C, but some discolouration of light colours may occur at elevated temperatures. Water Resistance: Resistant to the levels of atmospheric humidity present in normal interior and exterior environments and will withstand repeated washing. Not suitable for use on immersed surfaces. FILM THICKNESS Film thickness will be dependent on the coverage achieved. Wet: 45 microns. Dry: 25 microns. COMPOSITION (NOMINAL) Pigment: Binder: Solvent: Brush or roller. For Health and Safety reasons related to all solvent-based paints, spray application is not recommended. Lightfast Pigments. Alkyd. White Spirit. VOLUME SOLIDS 63% (nominal). Up to 16m2/litre on smooth surfaces of average porosity. WHITE WATER SPIRIT TRANSPORTATION & STORAGE Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost. To prevent spillage, please store and transport upright. VOC EU limit value for this product (cat A/d): 400g/l (2007) / 300g/l (2010) This product contains max .300g/L VOC VOC Content High 25%-50%. VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) contribute to atmospheric pollution. Thoroughly rub down previously painted surfaces, using ‘wet flatting’ methods where possible, then wipe oﬀ with a damp, lint free cloth. Treat knots with a suitable knotting solution. New or bare surfaces should be primed with an appropriate primer. Note: Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
