CONCRETE LINE Additives for high-performance concrete Pseudoplastic Rheological Additive for Cement-Based Mixes Technical Data VISCOCONTROL is an additive, which calibrates cement matrix rheology (fluid flow), changing it from a fluid or superfluid to a thixotropic pseudoplastic fluid. Physical state: white liquid Specific weight: from 1.05 to 1.1 kg/l Colour: milky Main chemical action: it increases pseudoplasticity Secondary chemical actions: stabilizing, protective colloidal and anti-sedimentary concrete Minimum temperature and maximum application temperature: from 1°C to 35°C Noxiousness level in compliance with 88/379 EEC: no Storage at 20°C: 12 months VISCOCONTROL is specially designed to produce every concrete mix, such as grout, mortar or self-compacting concrete with moist soil consistency. In particular, VISCOCONTROL is used for: • Increasing the cohesion of injection grout or mortar to strengthen and waterproof grounds or fill holes with laminar flow fluids in layers so as to reduce their leakage in the environment. • Mortar or concrete that is to pump. • Cement-based mixes with moist soil consistency produced with vibrating compactors or centrifugal machines. • Self-compacting cement-based mixes with difficult rheological features, such as lightened concrete with light or heavy aggregates. As far as binary and ternary injections of concrete are concerned, it gives rheological features that make fluids stiff, easy-to-pump and more resistant to wash-out. It also offers a better control of the injection side along with clear-cut technical advantages because it reaches a higher saturation point of holes as well as economic and eco-friendly one because it reduces any leakage in the environment. When producing superfluid or self-compacting cement-based mixes, it helps cast stiff homogeneous light concretes made with clay, pumice, lapillus, as well as heavy ones with cast-iron chips, ferrous metals, porphyrites, granites, zircon, baryta. It makes concrete and mortar easier to pump even if they are lacking in fine fractions from 150 to 300 microns. When producing concrete in vibrating and centrifugal machines, it increases productivity and reduces noise pollution thanks to a great decrease in vibration amplitude and good shape-holding conditions even when its consistency is wrong and the amount of water is too high.
