POLIFLOW - 1

UNDERGOUND & TUNNELLING LINE UNDERGROUND & TUNNELLING Technical Features Physical state: powder POLIFLOW is a powdered product added to cement to produce pumpable, non-segregable, impermeable, shrinkage-compensated cement-based grout with optimal adhesion to steel and superior tensile strength. Colour: dark Main chemical action: expansive W/C ratio reducer Secondary chemical action: pumping adjuvant Rating: UNI EN 934 - 2 ASTM C 494 Type G Proportion: 6 kg per 100 kg of cement Storage: 12 months Noxiousness level in compliance with 88/379 EEC: no The primary uses for cement-based grouts with the POLIFLOW additive are: • anchoring steel cables, bars or tie bars subject to increased stress; • injecting sheaths shielding stranded steel cable in prestressed concrete; • injecting rock and soil, masonry, etc.; • filling porous and hollow concrete, etc.; • filling sealed structural joints. • POLIFLOW provides fill grout with superior protection against corrosion caused by aggressive agents; • superior fluidity and absence of bleeding enables you to produce highly pumpable grouts that are easy to inject; • superior tensile strength in both short and long curing stages; • superior adhesion to steel and concrete. Whether in the plastic or hardening phase, grout mixed with the POLIFLOW additive expands, ensuring complete cavity filling; • its workability time enables you to work easily, even in high temperatures; • impermeability and absence of chlorides and other harsh substances provides optimal protection to steel cables and bars; • cables in prestressed post-tensioned structures are completely protected against stress corrosion. The POLIFLOW proportion is 6 kg for every 100 kg of cement and 30-38 litres of water. Mix the POLIFLOW cement-based grout in a conventional on-site concrete mixer. Pour 80% of the mix water (about 25 litres) into the concrete mixer, add POLIFLOW first then pour in the cement. Mix for 3-4 minutes until plastic and well blended. Add the remaining 20% water (about 5-7 litres) and mix for 2-3 more minutes until the grout is fluid. INJECTION PROCESS POLIFLOW After preparing the grout, keep it moving continuously. Typically, it will be pumpable for at least 2 hours. Should pumpability time be less, make sure that the cement is not showing any signs of quick or premature setting. Carry out the injection process continuously, without stopping. PACKAGING & STORAGE POLIFLOW is available in 12 kg bags. This product keeps its features unchanged for one year if properly stored in its original packaging.
